福山樣區標定

1.以台灣低中海拔之常綠闊葉林為研究主題,藉由固定大型樣區的設立,進行長期之生態研究,其主要目標有三:(1)首先為基礎的植物種類調查,包含木本植物、草本植物、藤本植物及著生植物,以了解物種之多樣性;(2)樣區森林之特性探討,包含營養鹽循環、凋落物分析及分解;微環境對森林造成的影響,如迎風坡背風坡之差異、植種生育地分化之機制;(3)樣區植群的演替或更新,包含林冠孔隙調查、小苗調查種子庫調查、樣區複查與演替模式分析等。自1989年至今已分別設置一些永久樣區,包括位於南仁山自然生態保護區內的欖仁溪(5.2公頃)

樣區遠眺

、南仁湖(2公頃)、南仁山(2.1公頃)及一樣帶(1公頃),位於中部中海拔地帶的北東眼山樣區(3公頃)以及位於北部插天山的羅培樣區(1公頃)及鎮西堡的針闊葉林樣區(2公頃)。已完成之研究課題包括南仁山低地雨林:(1)樹種的組成和分佈類型;(2)林隙更新之研究;(3)小苗動態及地被層植物組成之研究;(4)海拔梯度與植被組成、結構、歧異度及分布類型的關係;(5)短期森林動態之研究;(6)凋落物量及其養分含量之研究;(7)葉片結構及營養鹽含量之研究;(8)生物量之研究;(9)凋落物分解之研究;(10)優勢樹種林木生態生理學之研究;(11)樹冠垂直結構之研究;(12)南仁山區低地雨林木本植物社會之短期動態。其他尚包括北部插天山的羅培樣區及中部北東眼山樣區樹種的組成、族群結構和分佈類型之研究。目前正進行新竹鎮西堡檜木樣區及宜蘭福山地區25公頃樣區之設置工作。

2. 台灣地形複雜,氣候多變,加上地理位置介於熱帶及溫帶之間,故面積雖小,卻孕育出豐富之植物資源。台灣產之維管束植物類別計233科、1389屬、4216種,特有的植物達1041種之多。台灣大學植物標本館創立於1929年,自成立以來,即積極展開台灣及其鄰近地區諸如華南、東南亞、太平洋島嶼等之植物標本的採集,及與世界各大標本館交換標本,目前館藏標本約25萬餘份,涵蓋台灣維管束植物95%以上的種類,另收藏有植物學上最珍貴的模式標本約1000份。為有效掌握台灣植物資源之類別、特性、分佈地點、數量,以做為物種鑑別、教育研究;保育經營及永續利用之依據,目前本研究室正與標本館共同進行館藏標本資料之數位化,其數位化之內容包括(1)模式標本之高解析度影像;(2)其他標本之中解析度影像影像;(3)標本詮釋資料之建檔;(4)臺灣植物誌六卷文字及插圖之數位化;及(5)網頁及查詢系統之建置。
